Illegitimate Arguments, Robert Socha.

A response to Hillsdale City Councilmember Robert Socha’s February 17th blog post.

You did not petition the government, Robert. You committed sedition, as did everyone else who attended the attempted coup on January 6th. This is not in question. The entire purpose of the event was to violate and invalidate part of the Constitution. You were advocating the overthrow of the legitimate government of the United States.

And to deny that there was a riot? To deny that it was insurrection? To deny that your co-conspirators participated in a violent terrorist attack on the United States Capitol Building? That’s insane, Robert. We were ALL watching what happened AS it happened. People who were there with you proudly live-streamed their crimes. They’re having some harrowing conversations with the FBI now. You should be among them.

There is absolutely ZERO comparison between what you and your cohorts did, and the peaceful protests against racial inequity that were overshadowed by white supremacists starting violence in order to discredit them. NONE, Robert. AT ALL. Period. Don’t even THINK about making that comparison ever again.

You will be removed from the city council whether you like it or not. You belong in prison.

And for the record, I’m more conservative than you are. You don’t get to pin this on “liberals.” TRUE patriots like myself are standing up to you. Not liberals. You’re the liberal in this equation.

Mychal Massie himself has responded… and it’s not going very well for him.  If you know who he is, this should come as no surprise to you. What’s truly hilarious is that everything he accuses me of doing, he and Socha are doing themselves, especially the name-calling. You couldn’t make this up if you tried.

Apparently I’m a “godless infidel.”  That would come as news to God.

*snicker* Get a load of this guy.  Paragraphs and paragraphs to make the same failed, invalid points… and using every word in his thesaurus to do so.  Look, I have a broad vocabulary, as well — probably richer and much more varied than he does — but most of the time, I don’t use it, because A: people better understand words they know, and B: I don’t have to be overly verbose to cover for the fact that my points are invalid.

I left two replies; one substantive, the other promotional.  They’re currently awaiting moderation.  Let’s see if he actually publishes them instead of pretending he got the last word.

Well, he published one of them, then got The Last Word^TM before refusing to publish any more of my comments.  What a disingenuous hack.  But then, I knew that going into this.  How sad for him.
